LAST DAY OF UMBRELLA FEST! We're rounding it out with four great local bands:
Kyle Gresham writes, plays and sings bluesy guitar songs inspired by living in Seattle. You'll hear songs about city life, bus rides, sailboats, family, friends with national security and fracking thrown in just to keep it interesting.
Micah Subar is a Seattle, Washington based guitar player, singer, songwriter, bassist, producer, and collaborator on an eclectic group of musical projects.
Clallam County formed in 1980 as a collaboration between Pat McIntyre and Peter McKee, when Peter was living in Port Angeles, Washington - the county seat of Clallam County. A couple of years later, Peter's wife, Judy Oerkvitz, joined the duo, as did Pat's wife, Kristi. In 1990, Jim Douglas joined the band on bass.
As of 2018, the band continues playing shows around the Seattle area with current original band members Pat McIntyre, Peter McKee, and Judy Oerkvitz.
Sundae + Mr Geossl:
We’re so happy to welcome back our friends Kate and Jason, the jazz duo who used to live just upstairs from Walter’s! You’ve probably heard us playing their music in the shop- we’re BIG fans!
This husband and wife duo puts on a vintage inspired show that blends blues, swing, country and latin sounds. Performing hits from the roaring 20's to modern classics and originals Sundae + Mr. Goessl utilize technique, technology and unique instrumentation to give this little band it's big band sound. Mr. Goessl's mesmorizing finger-style guitar dazzles and inspires while Sundae's sultry vocal interpretations drip with charm and nostalgia.
We're grilling up some of Kim's famous hot dogs! Come on down for free dogs and local music!
UMBRELLA FEST CONTINUES!
When not tracking foxes or picking huckleberries, Jessie enjoys drawing in the margins of her notebook and playing music.
She writes original songs about life's funny contradictions, tender moments and lessons learned through experience. She melds sweet alto vocals with steel-string finger-picking guitar.
Aaron Spieldenner is a singer-songwriter whose music ranges from a modern folk sound to straight-ahead rock. Having first begun writing songs at 10 years old, Aaron has used songwriting throughout his life as a means for observation, reflection, and making some sort of sense of the world. A native to Seattle, Aaron tends to be particularly inspired by overcast skies, historical events, and uncomfortable day-to-day interactions.
And here’s a link to his demo:
Northwest rock comes alive with the Vududes. Featuring Pat Gossen, a founding member of the late 60s band Floating Bridge. Pat never stopped playing and touring and today is Mukilteo’s best kept secret. Trouble at Home’s own Dan Newton plays guitar in the band as well.
And we’re happy to have our house band and local favorite blues duo Trouble at Home, John Marshall and Dan Newton, on the Walter’s stage once again.
Get on down here! We are rocking the hill with local bands!
